First Draft of Butte and Central Idaho Roll Out on Monday May 23rd
Dr. Abelardo Rodriguez will in in Arco on Monday May 23rd to preview the first draft of the Butte County and Regional Economic model. There will be a meal and presentation at 12:30 PM and at 5:30 PM in the Arco BIC so that anyone with an interest can attend. Dr. Rodriguez will present the model as it currently is formulated and we will discuss the implications and and possible flaws. This is the second step in a Participator Social Accounting Process which permits community members to participate in construction of the economic model and aids in their understanding and use of the product. Seniors and Instructor Recognized for Accomplishments by Chamber
The Butte Chamber of Commerce Academic Awards Luncheon was held Tuesday May 10th in the Butte County High School Library. The Chamber recognized 5 seniors for academic excellence, 2 of academic improvement and dedication. A teacher was selected by the students as "most influential". Each winner will received a plaque, sponsored by a local business or individual.

Butte County Chamber Holds Academic Recognition Luncheon

The Butte County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Academic Recognition Luncheon on Tuesday May 10th and Noon time. The luncheon is planned to be held in the large room of the Business Incubation Center, pending removal of the magistrate court to its new home in the remodeled Memorial Building. If this does not happen, the luncheon will be held on the High School Campus.
The Chamber will be honoring the 5 graduating seniors with the highest academic standing, as determined by their grades. In addition, the High School teachers were asked to select a senior(s) who has made the most academic improvement, and two tied. Finally, the top academicians were asked to select the most influential teacher.
Each winner will receive a plaque, sponsored by a local entity. The selections and their sponsors are:
