Amateur Radio Club to From in the Lost River Valley Sunday October 6th

Anyone interested in becoming part of an amateur (HAM) radio operator should attend a meeting on Sunday afternoon, October 6th, in Conference Room A of the Arco Butte Business Incubation Center.  The meeting will begin at 6 PM and should be over before 8 PM.

According to Steve Steeper, a local amateur radio operator, " Yes, I’d like to see an amateur radio club here.  There’s certainly a sufficiency of people knowledgeable about radio theory, electrical theory and physics, all of which enter into the realm of amateur radio.  It would be wonderful if you put the meeting on the community page and an article would be greatly appreciated.  My main goal in attempting this is to expand emergency communications capabilities here in the valleys.  Experience has shown how vital a working emergency communication network can be in times of crisis, whether man-made or acts of nature.  Besides all of that, it is exciting and fun to make a radio contact with someone thousands of miles away with just a little radio.  With a little study and effort anyone can earn an Amateur Radio license…and it’s FREE!! "

If you have question or can not make the meeting, contact Steve.
