Get Help Finding Health Insurance that is Right for You and Your Family Dec 4th

BOISE, Idaho –Choosing a health plan can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be.  Your Health Idaho, Idaho’s official Health Insurance Marketplace, is a new resource run by and for Idahoans.

Your Health Idaho wants everyone to know that they do not have to go through this process alone.

To help residents understand what the exchange is and what it means to their family or business, Jody Olson, a Your Health Idaho representative, will be speaking at a free symposium at the Arco-Butte Business Incubation Center, 159 North Idaho St. in Arco on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their friends, family and questions to this informational session to learn more about the Affordable Care Act in our state that is built for Idahoans by Idahoans.

In addition to this information filled evening, Your Health Idaho is committed to providing Idahoans with a magnitude of outlets to seek information. We encourage individuals to contact our Consumer Resource Center at 855-YH-Idaho (855-944-3246) or go online at to find a Consumer Connector including agents, brokers and In-Person Assisters near them.

About Your Health Idaho

Your Health Idaho was established by State law in 2013 to provide an online marketplace where Idaho families and small businesses can go to compare and purchase health insurance. Your Health Idaho is governed by an 18-member Board authorized by the Idaho Legislature to set the rules and regulations for implementing a State-based health insurance exchange.

Stephen Weeg of Pocatello, a retired executive director of Health West, serves as chairman of the Board.  The Board must establish an exchange by January 1, 2014, as required by federal law. It is empowered by State law to develop an operating plan and contract for required services.
