gave a review of the Butte High School Senior Appreciation Luncheon sponsored
by the Chamber on May 14.Catered by
Jack. All went very well.Seniors were
very appreciative and thankful.Each
student had to tell what their most memorable moments were in school, and tell
of their plans after graduation.
Harlem Ambassadors – Rhonda
MM to not take on that activity due to the cost. Jack 2nd. Passed by

said everything went well.The group was
very pleasant and clean.Had lunch,
filled up tanks, and spent 30+ minutes visiting with the public and taking
Lost River Vermiculture – Tammy Maynard gave a talk on what
their business provides.They raise red
worms which provide an organic fertilizer for lawns, gardens, rose bushes,
trees, potted plants, and anywhere you want healthier plants and soil.(see article.)
ATC will be Highlighted business for June meeting.
July 4th Luau.Will be held in CityPark again this year
immediately after the parade.Menu has
been tweaked but ticket price is still the same bargain.Need to sell 50 tickets in advance.$8.00/adult.$5.00 for children up to age 12.Chamber gets $1.00/ticket.
Heidi’s Tips and Toes, Donna Storer, and Clay Condit have
agreed to assist.Rhonda suggested
asking a cub scout troop to help with set/up/clean up as a service project.

Co-ed Softball Tournament – Rhonda gave update.Tourney is pretty much full.16 teams.Need shagging crew. John Danz suggested band – Stephanie Nelson.
Jack mentions the Idaho Department of Transportation meeting at BIC tonight at 6pm.Discussion of lowering speed limit in front
of Jack’s TravelPlaza and Golden West.
Rhonda brought up that Arco needs to push and advertise as
Gateway to Crates of the Moon and try to get more of the tourist traffic to
stop in Arco.250,000 people from all
over the world visit Craters of the Moon and most all drive through Arco on
their way to or from the park.
Craters of the Moon Natural History Association is
sponsoring a Fun Run at the Craters on September 28, 2013 to celebrate National
Public Lands Day.More info to follow.
