Lost River Valley Gear Swap Saturaday May 2nd

The first Lost River Valley Gear Swap will be held Saturday,May 2, 2015 at  Bottolfsen Park in Arco, Idaho!!!  The swap is FREE to both vendor and to purchasers and is an opportunity to buy, sell or trade any type of outdoor gear or equipment. Set up begins at 8 am and the event runs from 9 AM until 3 PM, and is open to everyone.

WHAT IS AN OUTDOOR GEAR SWAP??
It is a place to BUY - SELL - SWAP - TRADE any type of gear that people use when they head into the great outdoors. If you are looking for outdoor gear, or looking to off load your old gear, this is the event for you!  PLEASE READ THE SECTION ON PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND HUNTING EQUIPMENT.

SCHEDULE OUTDOOR GEAR SWAP (Saturday May 2)
1. Set up anytime after 8am
2. Gear Swap runs 9am-3pm
3. Kids Bicycle Rodeo 11am-12noon
4. Discussion Session - 12:30pm-1:30pm (pavilion)

WHAT IF I ONLY HAVE A FEW THINGS
Folks with only a few things to sell or swap should feel free to stay as long as they wish. We HOPE that most vendors will stay for most of the day, but if all you want to do is offload a bit of fishing gear or a kayak, or you've got a pair of skis and a couple of pairs of ski boots that you'd like to sell, then by all means still come out and take part in this gear swap for as long as you want!

BICYCLE RODEO
A wonderful lady (and very experienced cyclist), has volunteered to do the Bicycle Rodeo at the Gear Swap. The Bicycle Rodeo is free, and open to children of all ages (including the tricycle and training wheels crowd just for fun smile emoticon ).
Laura will be checking seat height, helmet fit, chain lubrication, tire inflation and making adjustments to each of those as needed, so that our youngest adventurers can stay safe on their rides. There will also be a short obstacle course of cones and tape set up for the little guys to weave in and out of, so they can practice their bike handling skills. Come anytime between 11 and noon and let the kids show off their bikes and fancy riding skills.

MORE INFORMATION

HUNTING GEAR SAFETY INFO!!
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY INFO!!
PLEASE READ!!
We want everyone (both vendors and the public) to stay safe during the gear swap. With that in mind, please read the following:
1. Make sure that ALL "HUNTING EQUIPMENT" YOU WILL BE SELLING OR TRADING is unloaded before coming to the gear swap. One of the gear swap organizers (who is a retired Law Enforcement Officer) will be checking ALL firearms that vendors have for sale or trade. If any gear that is for sale/trade is found to be loaded, the owner will be asked to leave the park IMMEDIATELY. This does not include your personal "equipment" that you legally carry, for personal protection.

2. DO NOT LOAD "HUNTING EQUIPMENT" during the gear swap. Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY.

3. Please be attentive to all gear that could potentially cause injury to the visiting public (axes, knives, saws, broad heads, that sort of thing). There will be lots of people milling around (possibly including young children) and we want to keep everyone safe.

4. We are facilitating this event and we're excited to be doing so. But we ain't responsible for the actions of adults. Sellers please be honest about the gear you're selling or trading. Sellers please keep a close eye on your gear. Buyers please thoroughly inspect what you're buying. Everyone please be safety conscious. Don't come back to us on Sunday complaining that something you bought doesn't work because we don't know who sold it you. We are not responsible for injuries, theft or loss, bounced checks, hurt feelings or skinned knees (although we will toss you a Band Aid)
